The Nonprofit Finance Fund Consultancy Information:

In order to create an equitable and accessible grant application process, The National Latinx Theatre Initiative is collaborating with Nonprofit Finance Fund (NFF) to provide financial management information, financial, guidance, and resources to interested applicants.

Over the years, NFF has served as a trusted partner to hundreds of performing arts organizations, collaborating closely with them to demystify finance, think through financial strategy, and plan for the longer-term. NFF deeply understands the important role performing arts organizations play in their communities, as well as the unique challenges and opportunities of their business models. NFF will be providing a series of optional webinars and office hours to help applicants move forward in the NLTI application process with confidence and to make data-driven decisions about their organizations.

Please note, NFF will not be reviewing and providing feedback on any applications submitted. Attending a webinar or office hour has no bearing on grant decisions. NFF will not share information about who attends the sessions with the application review committee.

Optional Financial Webinars

NFF is offering optional financial management webinars to support you with preparing your NLTI application and telling your theater’s financial story. In these webinars, NFF will walk you through the key required financial documents, the core components of a strong financial story, and budgeting best practices that consider the entire organization’s needs and costs. You’ll learn:

  • How to create, interpret, and utilize the required financial documents

  • How to craft a compelling financial story that connects your organization’s mission to its finances

  • How to craft a budget informed by proposed programs in the NLTI Application.

  • How to plan financially for the needs of your theater in a way that supports its long-term sustainability

  • How to consider significant multi-year grants in ways that support the overall financial health of the whole organization, not just one program

Webinars will be available in both English and Spanish. Sessions will be recorded, and all materials and recordings will be provided to attendees.

Optional Office Hours

Throughout the application process, NFF is also providing individual and group office hours with financial consultants if you’d like help with the financial components of the application. Whether you’re just starting to gather materials or putting the finishing touches on your submission, our consultants will be your thought partners, working alongside you to help answer financial and narrative questions about your application. Please note that NFF consultants will not be able to review finished applications and will not share attendance information with the review.
